East Perth District Basketball Association (EPDBA), an affiliated association of Basketball WA has been established for over 60 years and during it’s existence has assisted literally thousands of young, talented players both girls and boys of all ages.
EPDBA is proud to have West Australian Basketball League teams in all divisions, from Under 12 to Division 1 Men and Women, as well as the Australian Central Eagles in the Men's and Women's State Basketball League.
The Morley Sports and Recreation Centre, situated on Wellington Road, Morley, is the home of the EPDBA where it runs a Saturday junior competition that caters for age groups from Under 10 to Under 17 boys and girls. We also offer Biddi Ball, a programme for future basketballers aged 4 – 8 years old that focuses on skills development in a fun environment.
Major sponsor Australian Central has entered an exciting new era through a merger with another successful credit union, Savings & Loans, which came into effect on 1 December 2009. With 350,000 members and $7.4 billion in assets and advice under management, the new credit union has the size and strength to create a genuine, member-owned alternative to the major banks. Although they will soon have a new name and logo, their commitment to members and the community remains as strong as ever.
